The Yellow Hexagon

Critical reviews and insights on South East Asia art exhibitions.

Meet the Historian

Hi! I’m Laura, and the history of art has always been the thread running through my life.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in Economics for Art, Culture and Communication at Bocconi University in Milan, I pursued two master’s degrees: one in Marketing Management (Bocconi University) and another in History and Criticism of Art (Università degli Studi di Milano).

For seven years I worked in the cosmetics industry, while keeping one foot in the art world through occasional projects. Eventually, I chose to leave both behind and dedicate myself entirely to my true passion.

Life eventually brought me to Southeast Asia, where I discovered a vibrant and fascinating art scene. To deepen my perspective, I enrolled in two inspiring courses at the Sotheby’s Institute of Art: Art Writing and The Global Art Market. These experiences reshaped the way I look at contemporary art, opening new horizons. And today, from Jakarta, I carry forward this journey as your art critic.
